(14)　日本語なかどめ複文における事態間の関係の解析のための基礎的考察　pp.1-16,1999-2.

物語文章や手続き記述文章の理解過程のモデルにおいて、文章中で記述されている事態の間の時間的、意味的関係の解析は基本的な問題である。物語文章や手続き記述文章における要素的な事態の記述は、単文、または複文中の節によって行われるのが普通である。本報告では、副節として第一なかどめ節（連用形並列節）あるいは第二なかどめ節（テ形並列節）だけを含む複文をなかどめ複文と呼び、なかどめ複文の構成要素である節において記述される事態の間の時間的、意味的関係の分類と事態間の関係を導くための知識について考察する。

How to interpret the temporal and/or semantic relations between the situation is one of the important problems for narrative and instruction understanding systems. A primitive situation in a narrative is expressed normally by a simple sentence or a clause of a complex sentence in the narrative text. We propose a taxonomy of temporal and semantic relations between the situations in the complex sentence with a coordinated clause. We consider knowledge for interpreting the semantic relation between the situations.
