(10)¡¡The study of fractal structure of ground glass surface by means of angle resolved scattering of light
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Optics Communications Vol.203, No.3-6, pp.191-196, 2002-3

¡¡A new technique for acquiring information on characteristics of random rough surface is proposed on the basis of inverse Fourier-Bessel transform of angle resolved scattering data. The study of ground glass surface by this technique has shown that over the range of distances of 3 decades the structure function of random height fluctuations obeys a two-parametric logarithmic dependence. The power spectrum of spatial frequencies has been also studied. It has been shown that in the low-frequency region the spectrum approaches 1/f dependence inherent to extreme fractal whereas in the high-frequency domain spectral dependence becomes 1/f^2 type, which is inherent to Brownian fractal. The profile measurements carried out by means of contact profilometer and a tunnelling scanning microscope have confirmed fractal-like dependence of spatial frequency spectra.
