Aperture problem is an experiment for analyzing the early motion processing in the visual pathway. In this paper, we simultaneously recorded electroencephalograms (EEGs) of subjects who are recognizing the perception, and estimated the source and the latencies in the brain by use of the equivalent current dipole source localization (ECDL) method and compared with ECDs. Then we compared with ECDs in case of two line speeds (Type1: 10msec/pixel, Type2: 20msec/pixel). At the latency of appearance of aperture, ECDs were localized along the ventral pathway that is said to concern with the recognition of forms. After the latency of appearance of the line, ECDs were localized along the dorsal pathway that is said to relate to the recognition of movements. And then another aperture was added, ECDs were localized to the middle frontal gyrus and the inferior frontal gyrus.
