Correlation and dimensional properties of clipped fractal speckles are discussed on the basis of computer simulations. To examine the fractal properties of the clipped fractal speckles, their autocorrelation functions are calculated, and are shown to follow power functions in the examined range of the exponent in the illuminating power function. A new method based on the histogram of local slopes is suggested for determining the slope of the logarithmically plotted power function for the autocorrelation function of the clipped and non-clipped fractal speckles.
