The optical holographic interferometry to be used for analyzing vibrating modes of objects is described to reveal the information of vibrations recorded in the holograms. The fringe patterns observed in the images reconstructed from holograms depend on not only the vibration modes but also the shutter function representing the exposure at the stage of recording the holograms. Such an optical technique is applied to the digital holography by the computer, and the simulation study on the vibration analysis is executed. The computer simulations with MATLAB are executed with respect to the time-average and the pulse-stroboscopic methods of holographic interferometry. The fringe patterns are analyzed by using histogram of intensity, and, in the pulse-stroboscopic method, it is revealed that the maxmum amplitude of vibration can be detected as the maximum point of the fringe contrast when the phase difference between the vibrating object and the illumination pulses is changed.
